Letter to the Editor: Politics in Monroe Township

A letter from Thomas Swartz

We have the much-heated Democratic Primary for a Mayoral Candidate and 3 At Large Council Seats

In Column “G”, Team Teefy comprised of the sitting Mayor Dan Teefy and Councilman Bob Heffner along with two newcomers Sherrie Kennedy and Jennifer Lewis -Gallagher in their grassroots effort to keep the progress going that was started almost three and a half years ago. The incumbents have shown that they think and vote for what is best for the community, not themselves or what others tell them to do. During their last campaign promises were made to improve the town we all love. If you are out and about you can’t help but see the improvements that have been started or made. Change does not happen overnight or even in three-plus years, but the changes have shown momentum that need not be halted. The two newcomers have the same philosophy and drive as their running mates. They also bring additional perspectives and would diversify the Council.

Versus.

Column “C” The Regular Democrats, Councilman Rich DiLucia, Katherine Falcon, Greg Wolf, and Pat O’Reilly backed by the local MUA and its associates of the local Democratic Party. Based on what I have read, their agenda is much like Team Teefy of three and a half years ago which most have already been implemented. Where are the new ideas that set themselves apart from their opponent or they trying to get your vote to take control of all aspects of our community to push some kind of unknown agenda?

Join me in voting all the way to the “right” Team Teefy Column “G” because if you are in the right side of the road you are moving forward and if you are on the left side you are going in the wrong direction.
