Medford Lion’s Heart received volunteer service awards

Students at local middle school’s have volunteered for 276 hours in support of a variety of local organizations.

The Medford chapter of Lion’s Heart, a teen volunteer and leadership program, recently received several volunteer service awards. Royce Jacobs founded the Medford chapter of Lion’s Heart in June 2017.

Over the past year, Royce Jacobs, Mason Doshi, Macary George and Michael Dubler, all 7th grade students at Medford Memorial Middle School, as well as Chris Luka who attends DeMasi Middle School, have volunteered 276 hours in support of a variety of local organizations and causes.

Royce Jacobs achieved the Presidential Volunteer Service Award Silver Level for at least 75 hours. Both Mason Doshi and Macary George achieved the Bronze Level of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for at least 50 hours. Michael Dubler and Chris Luka each participated in more than 30 hours. Royce Jacobs also received the Lion’s Heart Torchbearer Award for outstanding service.
