Moorestown students win Arbor Day contest

Amanda Appleton, Bruce Khanlian, Joe Greipp and Stanley Khanlian won the MIA’s Arbor Day contest.

At the township’s Arbor Day observances on April 27 at the Upper Elementary School, the winners of the Moorestown Improvement Association’s contest for Arbor Day 2018 were revealed by MIA president Dave Schill.

Young people were encouraged to see how many streets they could identify in Moorestown that are named for trees and also to find and photograph some trees located on streets that actually bear the names of those trees. The winning students were Amanda Appleton, Bruce Khanlian, Joe Greipp and Stanley Khanlian.

To see photos and learn about all the streets in town named after trees, stop by the MIA’s booth on Main Street during the Moorestown Day festivities on June 2.
