Police from throughout Burlington County honor officers killed in the line of duty

Members of law enforcement agencies in Burlington County gathered May 15 for the annual Fallen Officers Memorial Service, which was held in Westampton. The ceremony honored the 15 county officers who have died in the line of duty.

Members of the Burlington County law enforcement community gathered May 15 to honor the 15 county police officers who have died in the line of duty. The annual Fallen Officers Memorial Service took place at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center in Westampton. It was held to coincide with Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week.

Lenape Regional High School District holds Ninth Annual Armed Services Ceremony

Lenape Regional High School District officials continued the annual tradition of honoring senior students entering the military, military academies or college ROTC programs upon graduation. The May 15 ceremony marked the Ninth Annual Armed Services Awards Ceremony, in which staff, family, friends and active service members and veterans came together to wish the students well and to provide them with advice in their future endeavors.

Evesham Historical Society presents ‘Photographs of Historic Evesham’ on June 3

The Evesham Historical Society presents “Photographs of Historic Evesham” on June 3 from 2 to 4 p.m., with a reception and an award ceremony. Students from Cherokee High School photography classes are providing the photographs. Juror Elena Bouvier will be present to talk with the students about their work and the selection process before presenting the awards.

Evesham Police: No criminal charges for mentally ill man who followed woman into public bathroom

On May 13, Evesham Police were called to the Bed Bath & Beyond Store, 740 Route 73, where police say a female shopper advised officers that she had entered the women’s restroom and shortly after a male allegedly entered the same restroom. Police say it was later determined that the male in question suffers from mental illness and no criminal charges are warranted in the incident.

Evesham Township Police Department announces ‘Officer of the Month’ for April 2018

The Evesham Township Police Department (ETPD) has announced Officer Scott Kennedy as the department’s “Officer of the Month” for April 2018. Officials say the department is commending Kennedy for his investigative skills and commitment to making the township safe.
