Free workshop on understanding dyslexia

Thursday, May 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. learn about learning disabilities

Understanding dyslexia, a free workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pfeiffer Community Center, 301 Bluebell Rd., Williamstown on Thursday, May 31. The workshop is being presented by Lauren Stankiewicz , special education teacher with 20 years experience in teaching children with specific learning disabilities, Autism, genetic disorders, and other developmental delays. Lauren also has personal experience as a student who struggled with dyslexia and is a mother of two children with learning disabilities. The workshop will cover what dyslexia is, how to identify it, and how to help a child with dyslexia at home and at school. This workshop is hosted by Families of Special Kids Network (FSKN).
