Taste of Evesham celebrates 10 years on May 20

Locals can once again sample the menu from just some of the area’s most popular restaurants and food vendors.

This year will mark 10 years of food, friends and fun on Main Street when the Evesham Celebrations Foundation hosts the 10th annual Taste of Evesham on May 20.

Locals are once again invited to head down to Main Street that afternoon to sample the menu from just some of the area’s most popular restaurants and food vendors, as well as enjoy live music and connect with friends and neighbors.

According to Evesham Township Councilman Ken D’Andrea, who also serves as president of the Evesham Celebrations Foundation, the foundation officials who started the event never imagined how big or how sustainable the Taste of Evesham would turn out to be year after year.

“It’s matured over the years, but the objective continues to be to keep the community together and share with everybody as best we can,” D’Andrea said. “It’s just a wonderful event … and we look forward to finding new ways to celebrate the restaurants and organizations in the town.”

Just some of the vendors scheduled to attend this year’s event include: Bonefish Grill, Hard Rock Café, Ciconte’s Italia Pizza, Marlton Tavern, Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant, Rita’s Water Ice, Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Truck, Organico Pizza, TCBY, Smoothie King, Moore Bagels, Sal’s Pizza Works, ShopRite a La Cart Catering, Allora and Andale Latino Grill and Chickie’s and Pete’s. Organizers say Chick-fil-A will also be “attending in spirit” via free coupons for attendees.

Wine and beer samplings will be provided courtesy of Traino’s Wine & Spirits, Canal’s Bottlestop and Zed’s Brewery.

This year’s Taste of Evesham will take place on Main Street in Marlton between Cooper Avenue and Locust Avenue, from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Those attending can pay with cash or local checks at one of the event’s welcome booths at Main Street and North Locust Avenue, Main Street and Oak Lane or Main and Cooper Avenue.

Now in its 10th year, entry prices for the event remain the same as all prior events, with a $15 entry for attendees age 21 and older to include the beer and wine tasting, a $10 entry for attendees age 13 and older without the beer and wine tasting, a $5 entry for kids ages 4 to 12 and free admission for kids under age 4.

Attendees are subject to an ID check when ordering beer and wine tasting tickets.
