Emeritus John Armano was recently honored by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors.
The New Jersey Conference of Mayors at its annual Spring Conference presented Mayor Emeritus John Armano of Berlin Borough with the Lee Veale Award. The presentation was made at the group’s Board of Director’s Dinner on Wednesday, April 25.
The award is named after former NJCM Office Manager Lee Veale who passed away in 2006.
Armano served as mayor for eight years, from 2008 to 2015, after serving on the Borough Council for six years.
He also served as president of the Camden County Mayors Association in 2012 and was honored by that group as the Camden County Mayor of the Year that same year.
Armano is married to his wife Micki, and the couple has three children and nine grandchildren. He is retired from his position as Vice President of Marketing for Johnson and Towers.
