GTPD’s Dog Walker Watch and Bike Rodeo set for May 12

Calling all pedals and pooches.

GTPD would like to invite you to its Dog Walker Watch and Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at Timber Creek Pooch Park.

Pack your car up with family, dogs and bicycles and head on over.
Dog Walker Watch is a neighborhood watch program developed to teach dog owners how to be aware of their surroundings and how and when to report suspicious activity to the police.

The police will have local dog vendors on location with treats for your dog and even some adoptable dogs.

Learn pet CPR, meet the K-9s, take a picture with McGruff The Crime Dog and much more.

The GTPD bike rodeo will be going on in the parking lot right next to Dog Walker Watch for you and/or your children to meet the department’s bicycle officers.

Try your bike on one of the obstacles. Don’t forget your helmet!

This is a free event and open to the public.
