Evesham Police say citizen tip leads to surveillance detail resulting in heroin arrest

Police say detectives in an undercover surveillance detail observed suspicious activity near Taunton Lake Road and Kings Grant Drive.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On April 18, Evesham Police officials say department detectives assigned to a proactive undercover surveillance detail observed suspicious activity in the area of Taunton Lake Road and Kings Grant Drive.

During the investigation, police say officers assigned to the detail determined that an occupant inside a vehicle that was stopped by police was allegedly a wanted person and in possession of heroin.

Arrested:

A man, age 34, of Woodbury, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
