Evesham Township Police Department seek public’s help identifying alleged pickpocket

Police say the pictured individual allegedly stole a wallet from a purse as it hung off the back of a chair at Red Stone Grill.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On March 23, Evesham Police say the pictured individual allegedly stole a victim’s wallet from her purse as it hung off the back of her chair while dining at Red Stone Grill, 500 S. Route 73 in Marlton.

Police say the individual then allegedly used the victim’s credit cards on the same date to purchase two laptops for $5610.60 at the Apple Store in Marlton.

Police have also released the following tips as to signs purse thieves look for:

  • A woman who drapes her purse on the back of a chair or on the floor beside of her.
  • A woman who’s wallet is sticking out of her purse.
  • A woman who leaves her purse or wallet in a shopping cart.
  • A purse or bag left in an unlocked car.
  • A woman who has set their purse or wallet down on a table or counter.
  • Purses left in unattended offices or dressing rooms
  • Purses and coats dangling on coat racks.
