National Night Out meeting set for April 19

Help the community plan this nationwide event, which will take place Aug 7.

Join the Gloucester Township Police Department for the National Night Out kickoff meeting, which will be held Thursday, April 19 in the Senior/ Community Center, located at 1261 Chews Landing Road, starting at 6:30 p.m. The Gloucester Township Police Community Relations Bureau will be discussing the details of the upcoming event.

All residents who would like to be the head organizer for the National Night Out event in their neighborhood are welcome to attend. No pre-registration is necessary. New neighborhoods are welcome!

National Night Out will be held on Tuesday Aug 7 at 6 p.m.

The event includes citizens, law enforcement agencies, community groups, businesses, youth organizations and local, state and federal officials from 15,728 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide.

Attendees join forces to celebrate National Night Out (NNO), which is a community crime and safety event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, ADT, Nextdoor.com.

Throughout the nation, along with the traditional “lights on” and front porch vigils, there were 10 of thousands of block parties, cookouts and parades.

The Gloucester Township Police Department ranked eighth in the United States last year thanks to all of the wonderful residents who committed their time to making our community safe!
