‘Sunday Funday’ food truck festival returns to The Promenade at Sagemore in Marlton on April 22

The public is invited to visit the center from noon to 4 p.m. to enjoy a variety of tastes from some of the area’s food truck vendors.

The Promenade at Sagemore shopping center in Marlton has declared Sunday, April 22, as the Fourth Annual Sunday Funday Food Truck Festival at the Promenade at Sagemore.

The public is invited to visit the center from noon to 4 p.m. to enjoy a variety of tastes from some of the area’s food truck vendors. Guests that come out for the event can not only enjoy big tastes and big shopping, but they’ll also be invited to celebrate Earth Day and discover ways to help bee communities thrive in the region from The New Jersey Beekeeper Association (NJBA.)

NJBA is a non-profit organization driven completely by volunteers and dedicated to the promotion and support of all aspects of beekeeping in New Jersey. The NJBA and its South Jersey chapter (SJBA) educate the public on the benefits of beekeeping, teaches members to become better beekeepers, strives to dispel myths and misinformation regarding the honey bee and supports research to improve the health of honeybees and other pollinators. Those who attend the event should be sure to visit the SJBA booth and check out the Bee Informed Partnership (BIP) at www.beeinformed.org too.

Currently, more than a dozen food trucks and vendors are scheduled to attend the upcoming event, including Bacon Broads, Not Your Mama’s Tacos, Mannino’s Cannoli, Flamin’ Foods, Jim’s Jarhead Jerky, the Tot Cart and more. A full menu of diverse hot and cold food items will be available. All are being encouraged to feature a honey item on their menu, and local honey will be available for sale, to benefit SJBA. Wine tastings will be offered by Hawk Haven Winery of Cape May and Valenzano Winery of Shamong. Seating and tables for guests will be on site.

“We absolutely love our Sunday Funday Food Truck Festival — what a great day for our guests! Shoppers get a fresh look at all that spring has to offer — great styles –and a way to get outside, relax and enjoy a variety of great tastes in a fun, friendly atmosphere,” said Laura Balga, general manager at the Promenade at Sagemore. “We are also extremely pleased to help spread the word and work of the South Jersey Beekeeping Association on Earth Day. It’s such a fabulous cause and so close to home — it truly affects us all,”

The Promenade at Sagemore is located one mile south of the Route 70 and Route 73 intersection between Evesham and Brick Roads, on Route 73 in Marlton. For more information on the Sunday Funday Food Truck Festival scheduled for April 22, contact the concierge office at (856) 985–3846.
