It’s the weekend…take a dive under the sea

Even though area Easter egg hunts are cancelled, there is plenty to do around town and the surrounding area.

Clearview Regional High School

Take a dive under the sea with “The Little Mermaid.” The remaining shows are scheduled for 8 p.m., March 23; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., March 24.

“The Little Mermaid” tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens. Adult tickets are $15. Fees apply to online purchases but we highly encourage patrons to purchase their tickets ahead of time online due to the popularity of the show.

Around South Jersey

  • First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The event will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church, located at 101 Bridgeboro Road. Children through fourth grade are invited to celebrate the joy of Easter with crafts, Bible stories and the egg hunt. The event will be held, rain or shine, with activities taking place outside depending on the weather. Admission is free, but a canned food donation to the church’s food pantry is welcome.   • Harrison Township and Mantua Township hunts are cancelled; however, Easter egg hunts will be taking place all weekend long at Paws Discovery Farm in Mt. Laurel. The farm will be holding egg hunts on both Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Egg hunts are included with the general admission price and kids who participate can redeem their eggs for prizes. Admission is $10 per person, $9 for senior citizens and $6 for Mt. Laurel residents. Paws Discovery Farm is located at 1105 Hainesport-Mt. Laurel Road in Mt. Laurel. At the Jersey Shore

  • The Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival returns to the Atlantic City Convention Center this weekend. The festival will be open from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. The goal is to promote and educate attendees on craft beer and the brew masters that create them. Performing on stage at noon will be The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and performing at 6 p.m. is Pepper.   • An annual tradition returns to Ocean City this weekend as the Great Egg Hunt will take place this weekend. The hunt is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday on the beach between 11th and 14th streets. There will be five age groups with their own, separate hunt at different areas of the beach. In Philadelphia

  • Help raise money for the American Lung Association at the 12th annual Fight for Air Climb. The event begins at 7 a.m. at Three Logan Square in Philadelphia. Participants will climb up 50 stories of the skyscraper and raise awareness about lung disease. Late registration is available the day of the event for $40 per person.   • Yet another Easter egg hunt is scheduled to take place in the East Passyunk section of Philadelphia this weekend. East Passyunk’s annual egg hunt is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Singing Fountain, located at South 11th Street and East Passyunk Avenue. Kids can decorate egg-collecting bags, get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, enjoy music and more at this event. There will be three hunts, ages 4 and under will go at 11 a.m., the hunt for ages 5 to 7 will begin at noon and ages 8 to 10 will have their hunt at 1 p.m. The event is free.
