Evesham Police arrest man allegedly responsible some thefts at LA Fitness

Police say the arrest came after a tip from the department’s Facebook page.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

The Evesham Police Department recently identified and charged a male in allegedly connected to a series of thefts from cars and lockers at the Marlton LA Fitness on Route 73.

According to police, there have been almost 20 thefts from gym member’s lockers and vehicles that were parked outside the business since December.

Police say the thefts targeted cash, credit cards, wallets and gym bags.

In the majority of thefts from cars, police say the incidents involved smashing out a vehicles window to gain access. According to police, the thefts have resulted in thousands of dollars’ worth of personal property being reported stolen.

On March 13, investigators charged a male of Voorhees Township with burglary and theft in connection to some of the thefts.

The male was eventually arrested on March 15 after police received a tip through the Evesham Township Police Department’s Facebook page.

Charged:

A male, age 31, of Voorhees, was charged with nine counts of fourth-degree theft and one count of third-degree burglary.

Once arrested, the male was lodged in the Burlington County Jail.
