Marie Ohanesian Nardin will be visiting, author of “Beneath the Lion’s Wings” about an American who meets and falls in love with a gondolier in Venice. Marie is the wife of gondolier Roberto Nardin, and will come from their home in Venice to discuss the novel. The love-at-first-sight meeting in the book is based on their real life story.
There will be cicchetti (Italian appetizers) provided by the outstanding caterer Foodwerx, and a Prosecco cocktail that is the favorite of the gondoliers. Perhaps even a surprise virtual visit with those gentlemen, as well as a book signing by the author.
The books are hardcover editions, and will be made available through Julie of Inkwood Books. Prices are $20 for admission only, admission for one person plus a book is $40, admission for one couple, plus a cope of the book is $55. Admission includes book talk, post-talk reception and one cocktail per person. The author will sign books.
For reservations, call Marie DiMatties at (856) 428–9290, or email [email protected].
