Washington Township welcomes springtime with car shows, festivals, Easter activities and more.

The tulips are in bloom, and so is the township. Flourishing with upcoming spring events, Washington Township has activities for all ages to enjoy around this time of year. Whether you’re looking for a day of amusement rides and family fun, or want to indulge in some new treats at a food festival, there are ample events coming up in the next few months to add to your springtime agenda.
Easter egg hunt at Gloucester County Community Church
Kick off Easter celebrations at GCCC with a free egg hunt on March 31 at 10 a.m. Children ages 1 through 11 are invited to attend with their families, say hello to the Easter Bunny, and have the chance to win giveaways and prizes. Walk with PADD to end distracted driving
Support People Against Distracted Driving and help raise awareness by walking with PADD at Washington Lake Park on March 31 at 11 a.m., in memory of Washington Township residents Paul Miller and Nikki Kellenyi. Tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.com.
Earth Day events at Heggan Library
Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library is celebrating Earth Day with free programs all month long. With an Amazon Expedition on April 4, Washington Township residents will have the opportunity to learn about the Peruvian Amazon with Larry Lyons of EnviroQuest Photography. On April 11 at 7 p.m., Allen Jackson, president of the New Jersey Bluebird Society, will educate library patrons on bluebird facts, as well as how to increase their population in town, in coordination with the Washington Township Environmental Commission as well as the Gloucester County Nature Club.

Roast Beef and Root Beer Fundraiser
Help support missions for women and children at Bethel United Methodist Church in a fundraiser sponsored by the Bethel United Methodist Women. Dine-in or takeout is $12 and includes a hot roast beef sandwich, potato salad, a side of horseradish and a pickle, root beer and a cookie. Food Truck Festival
On Saturday, April 21, residents can indulge in bites from food trucks at Washington Township High School’s Food Truck Festival. Head to WTHS for music, games and fun from 4 to 9 p.m. Proceeds will benefit WTHS Project Graduation, a drug- and alcohol-free post-commencement celebration for WTHS graduates. 10th Annual Classic Car Show
Register your ride for Washington Township’s 10th annual Classic Car Show at Olde Stone House Village, located on Egg Harbor Road, on April 28. Registration costs $10 before April 20, and $15 after April 20. Pre-registered cars will receive a complimentary photo of their vehicle and will also be entered for a chance to win door prizes throughout the day. Spectators can also attend the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for no cost. Enjoy a day of music by Absolute DJ’s as well as the Mummers Peter A. Duffield’s Down to Earth Food Truck Festival
Duffield’s Farm will be hosting a festival on April 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — a great opportunity for families to enjoy a day filled with face painting, hayrides, pony rides, Earth Day activities, live music by “Love Alive” and food trucks, including Mannino’s Cannoli Express, The Little Sicilian Riceballs, I Got Crabs and many others.
Super Saturday 2018
A Washington Township tradition, Super Saturday, will take place on May 12 at the Washington Lake Park Amphitheater from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. The free event is an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy inflatable rides, food, vendors and entertainment with family and friends.
“It’s basically a town fair, so I encourage residents to come out and kick off the spring [and] summer season and see each other, bump into your neighbors,” event coordinator Lisa Collins said. “And, it’s also the day before Mother’s Day, so there’s great gift opportunities with different vendors.”
The band SassFaction will also perform a concert at 12:30 p.m. for the community to enjoy.

Teen Expo
The third annual Teen Expo, held at WTHS, is a free event for teens to enjoy career and educational workshops, entertainment and a guest speaker. Additionally, parents who attend can enjoy a variety of vendors at the event, which will take place on May 19 from noon to 6 p.m.
