Drug arrests, jewelry stolen from vehicle and more in latest Mt. Laurel Township Police Report

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On March 5 at 10 p.m., patrols responded to a business on the 3000 block of Church road for an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival, patrols observed a broken front glass door. A police K-9 arrived on scene to conduct a search of the area, which resulted in negative findings. The emergency contact for the business arrived on scene and a search of the interior resulted in negative findings for further damage or theft. Damage was observed to the front glass door, and it appeared the unknown suspects did not enter the business. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

On March 5 at 9:45 a.m., patrols conducted a suspicious vehicle investigation. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot of a hotel on the 600 block of Fellowship Road. Investigation revealed the driver, a 47-year-old male from Camden and the passenger, a 45-year-old male from Somerdale, to both have active warrants for their arrest. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a small quantity of marijuana was located in the center console and glove box. Neither occupants claimed ownership so both were taken into custody for the warrants and possession of CDS. Each man was charged with possession of marijuana. They were both released on a summons for the possession of CDS with a pending future court date.

On March 4 at 2:30 a.m., patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Fellowship Road and Century Parkway. The driver, a 25-year-old male from Cherry Hill showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was released to his aunt and issued traffic summonses with a pending future court date.

On March 4 at 2:03 a.m., patrols were dispatched to the area of Pine Road for a report of an individual operating his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Timberline Drive and it was determined the 60-year-old male driver from Mt. Laurel was under the influence and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The suspect was released to his son and issued traffic summonses with a pending future court date.

On March 3 at 8:27 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 and Duffy Drive. Officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. Mt. Laurel police K-9 Nina conducted a narcotics sniff and hit on the vehicle. A search of the driver’s vehicle, a 27-year-old female from Burlington revealed she was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and wax folds. Additional wax folds/plastic bags, a hypodermic syringe and two syringes with unknown liquid CDS were located in the vehicle. She was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on a summons with a pending future court date.

On March 3 at 8:53 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 and Larchmont Boulevard . Officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and a search revealed the driver, a 23-year-old male from Delran was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana as well as a vaporizer smoking device containing suspected liquid THC. The suspect was also found to possess three units of estrogen blocking drugs that are illicitly used for body building and require a prescription. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of prescription legend drugs. The suspect was released on summons with a pending future court date.

On March 2 at 9:25 a.m., patrols responded to Masonville Road for a report of theft. The victim reported between the hours of hours of 6 p.m. on March 1 and 9:25 a.m. on March 2, an unknown actor entered her unlocked vehicle and stole $5 worth of pennies, a pair of Beats headphones and a Bank of America debit card.

On March 2 at 2:33 a.m. patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73. The driver, a 23-year-old male from Trenton, showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was released to a friend and issued traffic summonses with a pending future court date.

On March 1 at 3:25 p.m., patrols responded to Foxcroft Way for a report of theft. The victim reported between the hours of 5 and 11 p.m. on Feb. 28, an unknown actor entered her unlocked vehicle and took approximately $25,500 worth of jewelry.

On Feb. 28 at 11:20 a.m., patrols responded to Home Depot on Nixon Drive for the report of a shoplifter detained by loss prevention. Upon arrival, patrols arrested a 36-year-old female from Manchester who shoplifted $90.12 worth of merchandise. The suspect stated she did not have identification on her and provided officers with false identifications. Search incident to arrest revealed three hypodermic needles and a New Jersey driver’s license with the suspect’s information. The suspect was charged for shoplifting, hindering, falsifying information and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was remanded to the Burlington County Jail pending a future court hearing.
