On Feb. 20 at 8:20 p.m., the Medford Township Police Department along with Medford Fire and EMS were dispatched to Branin Road by the curve for a report of a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries. Patrols arrived to find a 2008 Honda Accord had left the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was found to have been traveling north bound and lost control as it went around the bend. A 2017 Jeep Wrangler, that was behind the Honda, was struck by the falling utility pole. That driver was uninjured and the cause of the accident is under investigation. Medford EMS took refusals for all involved parties, who were then turned over to parents. Branin Road was closed for approximately 10 hours to allow for Public Service to respond and repair the wires and re-erect an utility pole.
