Evesham Police arrest men allegedly attempting to steal from store for third consecutive day

Police say incidents took place on Feb. 19, Feb. 20 and Feb. 21 at the Burlington store on Route 73.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On Feb. 21 at 2 p.m., officers with the Evesham Township Police Department responded to the Burlington store, 101 S. Route 73, for two alleged shoplifters on location that police say had allegedly stolen merchandise from the store previously on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20.

Police say officers located the two males and their investigation determined that they were allegedly responsible for two prior shoplifting incidents.

During their arrest, police say the males were also allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine, marijuana and burglary tools. Police say one of the males attempted to provide the officers with a fictitious name.

Arrested:

A male, age 37, of Philadelphia, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree shoplifting and a disorderly person’s offense for possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.

A male, age 60, of Philadelphia, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree shoplifting, third-degree possession of crack cocaine, third-degree possession of burglary tools and fourth-degree hindering. He was released on his own recognizance.
