Cherokee High School students receive President’s Volunteer Service Award

The students who received the award are Cherokee seniors Taylor Ginchereau and Jacqueline Wenzel.

Cherokee High School officials have announced that two students at the school recently received The President’s Volunteer Service Award.

The students who received the award are Cherokee seniors Taylor Ginchereau and Jacqueline Wenzel. The two were recently notified of their accomplishment.

For the award, the two received a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin and a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States.

According to Cherokee officials, The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.
