Haddonfield girls swimming advances to state championship again

The Bulldawgs will take on Mountain Lakes High School for the fourth straight year in the Public Group C state championship.

Haddonfield girls swimming is back in the state championship meet for Public Group C. The Bulldawgs edged out Governor Livingston High School, 89.5–80.5 on Tuesday in the Public Group C state semifinals.

The Bulldawgs took first place in two of the three relay events, including the final event, the 400 freestyle relay. Haddonfield also had first place finishes in six of eight individual events. Leading the way for the Bulldawgs were Ava Berzanski, who won two individual events and was part of both of Haddonfield victorious relay teams. Carly Griffin also won two events, the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

Haddonfield will swim against Mountain Lakes High School for the fourth straight year in the Public Group C state championship. The meet will take place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at The College of New Jersey.
