Voters approve 2018 budget for Evesham Fire District No. 1

Voters also elected John Behnke and Mike Powers for seats on the board of fire commissioners.

The following information comes Fire District No. 1:

Evesham voters took to the polls this past weekend to successfully pass the 2018 budget for Evesham Fire District No. 1. This year’s annual Fire District Election took place on Feb. 17.

This marked the fourth consecutive year where the district presented a budget with no tax increase, leaving the current fire district tax rate set at 13.7 cents per every $100 of assessed property value for homeowners in the township.

District officials publicly offered thanks to the residents for their help in passing this year’s budget.

The district also congratulated John Behnke and Mike Powers, the two new commissioners who voters also elected to fill two, three-year terms in the election for seats on the board of fire commissioners.

The two will start in their new roles in March.

At this time, all results are still considered unofficial.
