Haddonfield girls swimming continues dominant run in South Jersey Group C
In 2015, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association added a third group, Group C, for boys and girls swimming championships. Since then, Haddonfield Memorial High School girls swimming has been perfect in the sectional tournament. The Bulldawgs won their fourth consecutive South Jersey Public Group C title last Thursday, defeating Haddon Township High School, 93–77, in the sectional final. It is the 13th time Haddonfield girls swimming has won a sectional championship.
Bancroft was a hot topic at Tuesday’s meeting
Borough commissioners adopted an ordinance on second reading to approve amendments to the Bancroft redevelopment plan at the Tuesday, Feb. 13, meeting. Some residents expressed frustration with the plan, while others were grateful to get one step closer to moving forward.
Making history at HMHS
Every so often, we encounter people who display a passion for not only making the world around them better, but future generations as well. Haddonfield Memorial High School social studies teacher Margaret Gammie has done just that by enriching the lives of the HMHS community with every passing day. Graduating summa cum laude with a history education degree from Delaware State University four years ago, Gammie was eager to find a job where she would be able to inspire students to want to learn more about history. Luckily, Haddonfield gave her the opportunity to spread her wings.
