Mt. Laurel Police Report: Vehicle stolen from driveway of residence, $100 basketball stolen at YMCA

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On Feb. 12 at 10:03 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of the New Jersey Turnpike. During the stop, patrols recovered a jar containing suspected marijuana. The 19-year-old male passenger from Mt. Laurel was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released on a summons, pending a future court date. The 22-year-old female driver from Mt. Laurel was arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant. She was released on scene pending a future court date.

On Feb. 10 at 3:52 p.m., patrols responded to the 200 block of Starboard Way for the report of a vehicle taken without owners consent. Upon arrival in the area, the vehicle returned. During the investigation, the 28-year-old male driver from Mt. Laurel was determined to have multiple criminal warrants. He was subsequently arrested at which time he was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged on a summons for possession of marijuana under 50g. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail for his outstanding warrants pending a future court date.

On Feb. 10 at 3:17 p.m., patrols responded to Krysta Court for the report of a criminal mischief. The victim reported that on Feb. 8 at 9 p.m., an unknown male suspect cut the wire to a security camera that is in the area of a gazebo at the corner of Krysta Court and Elbo Lane.

On Feb. 10 at 7:23 a.m., patrols responded to the YMCA on Centerton Road for the report of a theft of a basketball. The victim reported that while playing basketball, he set his personal basketball valued at $100 on the sideline. When he was done playing his game, he discovered that an unknown suspect stole the ball.

On Feb. 8 at 6:32 p.m., patrols responded to the 400 block of Mt. Laurel Road for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reports that sometime between Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, an unknown suspect stole his black 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was parked in the driveway of his residence. The vehicle was unlocked and the key FOB was in the vehicle.

On Feb. 8 at 5:21 p.m., patrols responded to Bittersweet Place for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim reports that sometime overnight an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a 46 inch TV.

On Feb. 8 at 5:10 p.m., patrols responded to the Home Depot for the report of a shoplifter in the store. Upon arrival, patrols arrested a 36-year-old male from Cherry Hill for shoplifting $495.47 of store merchandise. He was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Feb. 8 at 7:23 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 at Larchmont Boulevard. During the stop, patrols recovered a mason jar containing suspected marijuana. The 21-year-old male driver from Moorestown was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released pending a future court date.

On Feb. 8 at 3:46 a.m., patrols responded to Evergreen Road for the report of a broken window. The victim reports that when he arrived home from work at 3:30 a.m. he found the rear window of his vehicle broken.

On Feb. 7 at 12:26 p.m., patrols responded to a car dealership on the 1200 block of Route 73 for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. Staff reported that in December, a vehicle was purchased from the dealership. It was later determined that the buyer used a stolen identity/fraudulent information to conduct the sale.

On Feb. 7 at 10:47 a.m., patrols responded to West Bluebell Lane for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reports that sometime between Feb. 1, and Feb. 7, an unknown suspect stole his maroon 2001 Ford Mustang that was parked in the parking lot outside of his residence.

On Feb. 6 at 6:16 p.m., patrols, EMS and paramedics responded to a residence on Holly Cove for the report of an unconscious male. Responders located a 23-year-old male from Burlington unresponsive due to an apparent overdose. EMS administered Narcan and the male regained consciousness. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

On Feb. 6 at 8:45 a.m., patrols responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Route 38 and Larchmont Boulevard. The investigation resulted in a 22-year-old female from West Deptford being arrested for driving while under the influence. She was processed and charged with DUI and other motor vehicle violations. She was released to a family member pending a future court date.

On Feb. 6 at 2:52 p.m., patrols responded to Joann Fabrics in Centerton Square for the report of a shoplifter in the store. Prior to patrols arrival store staff approached the suspect. The merchandise was recovered and the suspect fled the area.
