Suspicious vehicle investigation by Evesham Police leads to drug and prostitution charges

Police say the incident began on Feb. 5 when a detective observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Route 73 and Lincoln Drive.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On Feb. 5 at 2:28 p.m., a detective with Evesham Township Police Department observed an allegedly suspicious vehicle in the area of Route 73 and Lincoln Drive. The detective, in an unmarked vehicle, arranged for a patrol officer to stop the vehicle.

During the course of the investigation, police say the detective developed information to believe all occupants were involved in the promotion of prostitution. According to police, the arrest and subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery and seizure of cocaine, heroin, Molly and cash.

Arrested:

A male, age 27, of New York City, was charged with third-degree possession of Molly, third-degree possession of cocaine and fourth-degree promoting prostitution. He was released on his own recognizance.

A male, age 30, of New York City, was charged fourth-degree promoting prostitution. He was released on his own recognizance.

A female, age 29, of New York City, was charged with fourth-degree promoting prostitution and a disorderly person’s offense for possession of marijuana. She was released on her own recognizance.

A female, age 26, of New York City, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin, fourth-degree promoting prostitution and a disorderly person’s offense for possession of a hypodermic needle. She was released on her own recognizance.

A female, age 27, of New York City, was charged with third-degree possession of cocaine and fourth-degree promoting prostitution. She was released on her own recognizance.
