Obituary: Samuel David Hanger

Samuel David Hanger, 89, formerly a longtime resident of Haddonfield and New Lisbon, passed away Feb. 4.

Samuel David Hanger, 89, of Ocean City NJ, formerly a longtime resident of Haddonfield and New Lisbon, NJ, passed away Feb. 4; he was the dear brother of Ryland T. Hanger; beloved uncle of Maryanne Hanger of Camden, NJ, Virginia Hanger of Berkeley, CA, Joanne Hanger of Gloucester City, NJ and Annamae Ingenito of Lake Wales, FL.

Mr. Hanger graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School and Glassboro State College. He was a Teacher in Haddon Heights Public Schools for 25 years. He had been an active member of Haddonfield Grace Church and its Choir for over 25 years and then became a member of Holy Trinity Church in Ocean City for 17 years. Additionally, Mr. Hanger was a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America for 15 years.

Mr. Hanger’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m to 10:45 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 19 Kings Hwy. East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033; where his Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is Private.
