Special Needs Resource Fair set for Feb. 13 at Mt. Laurel’s Larchmont Elementary School

Families of children with special needs will have access to 75 groups, organizations and businesses that provide special needs services.

Mt. Laurel Schools Special Services Department is teaming up with the district’s Special Education Parent Advisory Committee to host a free Special Needs Resource Fair & Sensory Experience event on Feb. 13 at Larchmont Elementary School from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

According to the district, the fair will provide one centralized location where families of children with special needs will have access to 75 groups, organizations and businesses that provide special needs services.

This year’s event is also being promoted as a “Sensory Experience” where visitors will have the chance to experience the feelings that come with having sensory issues such as dyslexia.

“We look forward to providing our parents an opportunity to meet and talk with these support services in our community,” said Diane Willard, who serves as director of Mt. Laurel Schools’ Child Study Team Services.
