Gloucester Township has requested capital funding of $1,369,257.92 to construct the projects.
Gloucester Township has completed design of five stormwater projects within the township. As part of the Municipal Stormwater Permit (MS4), the township is improving stormwater infrastructure to provide water quality benefits by promoting pollutant removal through sedimentation and reducing flooding and erosion for residents and businesses in Gloucester Township. New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust monies will be utilized to accomplish the required remediation. The construction of upgrades and improvements anticipated in 2018 include the following projects in Gloucester Township, Camden County:
- Lincoln Drive Stormwater Piping and Headwall Replacement located within the Township Drainage Easement on Spring Hill Drive between Block 10002, Lot 10 and Lot 11;
- Spring Hill Drive Stormwater Piping and Headwall Replacement located within the Township Drainage Easement on Spring Hill Drive between Block 10101, Lot 21 and Lot 22;
- Edgewater Court Bank Stabilization located within Township owned Open Space on Block 17301, Lot 75 adjacent to Edgewater Court;
- Block 9801, Lot 1 Stormwater Piping and Headwall Replacement located adjacent to Bianchini Way on Township Property, Block 9504, Lot 22; and
- Pasadena Drive Stormwater Piping and Headwall Replacement located within a Township Drainage Easement on Pasadena Drive between Block 3203, Lot 64 and Lot 63.
Gloucester Township has requested capital funding of $1,369,257.92 to construct the projects. The funding was financed through the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program (NJEIFP). The NJEIFP is a State Revolving Fund program jointly administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust (Trust) and uses a combination of funds provided by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the DEP, and the Trust to provide very low interest loans to borrowers for environmental infrastructure projects.
