Locals can offer input on strategic planning for Mt. Laurel Schools through online survey

The Mt. Laurel community has one final chance to offer input into Mt. Laurel Schools’ ongoing “A Path to Success 2030” strategic planning initiative. As part of the initiative, Mt. Laurel Schools has launched an online community survey where members of the public can share their thoughts on pressing issues facing students, as well as share what aspects of the district they feel the most pride toward.

Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library book sale for January 2018 set for Jan. 24 through Jan. 27

The next Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library Bargain Book & Media Sale for January 2018 will take place at the Mt. Laurel Library from Wednesday, Jan. 24, through Saturday, Jan. 27. Members of the Friends are invited to a special preview night on Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join then.

Community learns about human trafficking through workshop hosted by Mt. Laurel Schools

Parents, concerned citizens and officials from Mt. Laurel Schools gathered at Harrington Middle School this week for a public information session district officials hope will be the first step in bringing more attention to the potential danger of child sex trafficking in the area. The nearly two-hour information session featured speakers from organizations such as the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking and New Jersey Child Assault Prevention, as they gave an overview of human trafficking and provided the audience with key indicators that may be used to identify victims.

Rowan College at Burlington County shifts RCBC Radio from FM station to online station

Rowan College at Burlington County officials say the college is modernizing its radio programming with the launch of RCBC Radio — an online station that will give students real-world experience with 21st century technology.RCBC will launch at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 at rcbc.edu/radio. The final broadcast of Z88.9, the college’s FM station, aired on Thursday, Jan. 18.
