Police activity expected in Cecil, no active threat or danger reported

The police department is advising residents in the Cecil section of Monroe Township to be advised of increased police presence throughout Friday, Jan. 19

Residents and visitors of the Cecil section of Monroe Township are advised there will be police activity from multiple agencies in the area throughout the day, according to the Monroe Township Police Department Facebook page.

Personnel and equipment, including aviation support, will be deployed. All personnel will be properly identified. Residents are asked to use caution if in the area.

According to the social media post, there is no active threat or danger in the area, and residents are asked not to contact the police department or communications in regards to this activity as it would tie up needed resources.
