Closings and cancellations on Thursday, Jan. 4

Various businesses and township buildings will have delayed openings or closings due to the anticipated snow

A number of community centers and places of business will not open their doors on Thursday, Jan. 4, due to the anticipated snow storm. Check out what places will be closed today:

The Washington Township Municipal Building will be closed.

Trash pick-up will be delayed. Residents are asked to refrain from putting trash out on the curb as snow is falling, to avoid having it covered in snow and to allow plow trucks to navigate. After snowfall stops, residents may put trash behind the curb for pickup to allow for proper pick-up and plowing.

The Washington Township public schools will be closed.

The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library will be closed.

Gloucester County’s six nutrition sites will be closed today and Serv-A-Tray delivery has been suspended.

All Vicinage XV Superior Court offices will be closed.

Div. of Transportation Services is running their scheduled appointments (dialysis and radiation).

The state has authorized the closing of state offices today for all non-essential employees. Essential employees report to work on regular schedule.
