Toys for Tots drive by county Republican Committee collects more than 300 toys

The effort was the committee’s first annual toy drive on Dec. 5

The Gloucester County and Camden County Republican Organizations proudly announce record success for the first-annual two-county sponsored “Toys for Tots” drive that was held Dec. 5 at Adelphia Restaurant, in Deptford.

The event generated more than 300 new unwrapped toys in time for distribution during this season of giving. More than 300 people attended the event, with live music from the band “Frankie and the Flatliners” adding to the festivities. The “Toys for Tots” Foundation is run by the United States Marine Corp Reserve where new unwrapped toys are distributed to less fortunate children in our community, with the primary goal of delivering a message of hope and assisting them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens. The Gloucester County and Camden County Republican Committees thank all who donated and participated in the event, with special thank you to the staff at Adelphia’s Restaurant.

The Washington Township Republican Committee meets every third Wednesday of each month. For more information and to register as a member please visit www.washingtontwprepublicans.com.
