Following New Year’s Day 2018, recycling in Evesham Township will be pushed to Saturday, Jan. 6

The final, regularly scheduled recycling pickup for 2017 will proceed as normal this Friday, Dec. 22.

Burlington County has announced that due to the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, the recycling collection schedule will be changed for some towns in the county during the last week in December and the first week in January.

For Evesham Township specifically, the final, regularly scheduled recycling pickup for 2018 will proceed as normal on Friday, Dec. 22.

However, after Dec.22, the next scheduled recycling pickup in Evesham Township will be pushed back one day from the regular pickup day of Friday, to instead fall on Saturday, Jan. 6.

This change is due to New Year’s Day 2018. Regular recycling collection will then resume beginning Monday, Jan. 8, 2018.

Residents are asked to remove packing contents, such as foam and plastic wrap and flatten boxes before recycling. In the event of overflow, residents should use their local municipal recycling drop-off.

Additionally, the county asks consider holding on to recyclables until next collection or taking them to municipal recycling drop-offs in case of a windy day, snow or ice storms.

For more information, call the Recycling Hotline (609) 267–6889 or (856) 461–4141, email recycling@otcbc.org or check the Recycle Coach smartphone app. Recycle Coach is available on iTunes and GooglePlay app stores and lets residents get their recycling schedule, including paper shredding days, find where to recycle old TVs and more.
