Norma J. McGough, 90, passed away on Dec. 7.

Norma J. McGough, 90, passed away on Dec. 7. Norma was from Uxbridge in Cherry Hill. She was the wife of the late Richard P. McGough, Jr.; beloved mother of Melinda McGough (Stephen Griffey) of Haddonfield and Richard P. McGough, III of Flemington, NJ and dear sister-in-law of Sandra Dillon.

Norma’s passions were music and theater. She performed in and played the lead in many theatrical and musical productions in both Haddonfield and in Summit, NJ where she lived for 20 years before returning to South Jersey. Among her credits was a leading role in the first production of “The King’s Road” in 1964. Norma sang with the Haddonfield United Methodist Church Choir and the Master Chorale for many years and considered the choir community to be her second home. In addition to her other activities, she was an active member of the Haddon Fortnightly since 1960.

Mrs. McGough’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., in the Sanctuary of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ 08033; where her Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the church at the above address for “Friends of Music.”
