No settlement reached for the board and HEA

The Board of Education and the Haddonfield Education Association met with a state-appointed mediator in a closed session on Tuesday, Dec. 5, but the two sides did not reach a settlement. The HEA’s contract expired at the end of June, and both the board and the HEA agreed to mediation in September.

Lutheran Church of Our Savior will present a special Lessons and Carols service

In preparation for the Christmas season, the Lutheran Church of Our Savior will present a special lessons and carols service on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 10:30 a.m. The service will center around hope and light in the context of the Advent and Christmas seasons, and will feature Adult and Youth Choirs, Orchestra, and Organ in music by Felix Mendelssohn, John Rutter, and others.

The Bancroft property discussion continued on Tuesday’s meeting

The discussion over proposed amendments to the Bancroft property agreement continued before the planning board at its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The planning board will review the amendments and gather public commentary after discussing each proposed amendment. However, only a couple of amendments were discussed at Tuesday’s meeting.
