Marlton resident and GEICO associate wins 2017 GEICO Volunteer Service Award

GEICO Senior Vice President Seth Ingall honors associate Jaclyn Veasy as the company’s 2017 GEICO Corporate Volunteer Service Award winner.

Jaclyn Veasy of Marlton, a New Jersey-based personal injury protection adjuster through GEICO, has earned the 2017 GEICO Volunteer Service Award. Veasy, who began working at GEICO in January 2014, said volunteering has been a gateway to learn about her community and meet new people, but, most importantly, it has given her the opportunity to support those most in need of a helping hand.

Evesham Police respond to reportedly suicidal male with handgun in woods behind Barton Run

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

At approximately 1 p.m. on Dec. 5, Evesham Police say the department received a report of a suicidal male armed with a handgun in the woods behind the Barton Run Development. Police say the subject was ultimately located by officers and taken into protective custody without incident.

Evesham Holiday Wishes program once again collecting toys for local families in need

Evesham residents once again have the chance to play Santa this year and brighten the holiday season for some of their less fortunate neighbors with the return of the Evesham Holiday Wishes program. Back for another year, the Evesham Holiday Wishes program allows generous residents to donate new, unwrapped toys to be distributed to Marlton families with young children who need help providing gifts to their families during the holiday season.

Burlington County Animal Shelter offering free adoptions on shelter animals through end of 2017

The Burlington County Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions on all shelter animals to approved adopters through the end of 2017. Those who stop by the shelter all throughout the month of December can work with shelter staff and the Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter to find a new member of the family.
