District seeks community participation on 2017–18 Safe and Substance-Free Schools Task Force

The Task Force’s first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7

Washington Township Superintendent of Schools Joe Bollendorf invites members of the community to participate in an important conversation on school climate and safety as members of the district’s 2017–18 Safe and Substance-Free Schools Task Force.

The goals of this task force are to provide information to the school district and community that will assist in fostering safe and substance-free learning environments to students; to deliver proactive strategies to eliminate school violence and bullying; and to offer assistance in training adults to inspire, equip and empower students to affect permanent, positive change.

The evening will also include a review of new security upgrades in the district.
