Twenty-nine Washington Township students accepted to All-South Jersey Chorus

The students were among 1,000 who auditioned to join the prestigious group on Nov. 18.

Twenty-nine students from the Washington Township public schools have been selected to the 2017–18 All-South Jersey Chorus. The students were among 1,000 who auditioned to join the prestigious group on Nov. 18.

These students will prepare a concert of challenging repertoire and perform with their peers around the region in January 2018. For the first time, the concerts will be hosted at the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center in Washington Township High School.

“These accomplishments are the result of hard work, dedication and steadfast commitment to excellence,” said WTHS choral teacher Joe Zachowski. “We are so proud of all of our honorees.”

The honorees include:

All-South Jersey Junior High Chorus

Chestnut Ridge Middle School: Eighth grade: Bryan Butkus and Christian Jones

Bunker Hill Middle School: Eighth grade: Andrew Seagreaves, Isabelle Nutt, Jaycen Geiser, Jacob Loomis, Aislinn Conway; Seventh grade: Nicole Forte

Orchard Valley Middle School: Eighth grade: Alison Maselek; Seventh grade: Talia Mazzuca

WTHS: Ninth grade: Brenna McCuen, Marissa Pestritto, Troy Smith, Shane Waters and Taylor Wise

All-South Jersey Senior High Chorus

WTHS: 10th grade: Trey Jackson, Stephanie Masapollo, Kaila Parkin, Nathan Tran and Bailey Wielhouwer; 11th grade: Zack Romann and Marco Santos; 12th grade: Antonia Brunetti, Angelica Carroll, Alexa Liss, Victor Rodriguez, Amanda Watson, Janel Weeks and Madelyn Yerkes.
