Police say an investigation led to the arrest of a pair with 33 bags of heroin and five vials of cocaine.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On Nov. 28, members of the Evesham Township Police Department Investigative and Proactive Unit conducted a narcotics investigation into the illegal sale of heroin and cocaine in Evesham Township.
According to police, the investigation led to the arrest of a Camden City man and Blackwood women, along with the seizure of heroin and cocaine that police say was allegedly intended for distribution in Evesham Township.
During the proactive undercover operation, police say ETPD K-9 Brody was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. As the K-9 was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle, police say he allegedly alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car.
According to police, a search warrant was obtained and subsequent search resulted in the discovery of 33 bags of heroin and five vials of cocaine.
Police say the investigation took place in a the parking lot of an Evesham Township retail store on Route 73.
Arrested:
Jared Baylor, age 27, of Camden City, was charged with second-degree distribution of heroin, second-degree distribution of cocaine, third-degree possession of heroin and cocaine and fourth-degree loitering with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
A female, age 28, of Blackwood, was charged second-degree distribution of heroin, fourth-degree loitering with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance and a disorderly person’s offense for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizances.
