Congregation M’kor Shalom to present ‘Social Justice Initiative’ forum on intolerance on Nov. 29

According to those with M’kor Shalom, hatred and intolerance during the past year has left people stressed, helpless and full of despair.

The social action committee of Congregation M’kor Shalom invites the community to participate in a forum entitled “Outrage Fatigue 101: Strategies for Dealing with Intolerance in 2017” to be held on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at Congregation M’kor Shalom, 850 Evesham Road, in Cherry Hill.

According to those with M’kor Shalom, the congregation has seen hatred and intolerance that has erupted in the country during the past year leave people feeling stressed, helpless and full of despair.

Whether members of the community have been victims of intolerance or have seen it perpetrated on others, M’kor Shalom believes the community should learn advocacy skills for fighting intolerance and coping skills for staying calm and centered in the midst of negative energy.
