On Oct. 17, at 11:10 a.m, police say Padulese responded to a home following a 911 call from a witness who observed two males carrying an unconscious male from a car and abandoning the male inside a residence in the unit block of Bartram Road.

Police say the two males then fled the area in their vehicle without calling for medical assistance.

Upon Padulese’s arrival, police say he located an unconscious male who was barely breathing in the foyer of the residence .

After entering the home, police say Padulese encountered an aggressive dog who was protecting the near lifeless victim. Police say Padulese had to ward off the dog prior to reaching the victim.

After fending off the dog, police say Padulese was able to drag the overdose victim to the exterior of the residence and administer the opioid reversal drug Narcan. After Narcan was deployed, police say the victim regained consciousness and was transported to local hospital where he made a full recovery.

According to the Evesham Township Police Department, the actions displayed by Padulese showed “courage and unwavering dedication to saving the life of another.

During a follow up investigation, police investigators were able to identify one of the males who had abandoned the victim. That male was charged with third-degree endangering an injured victim.
