On October 17th, John E. (Jack) Kishbaugh, 91, a longtime resident of Haddonfield and beloved husband of 37 years to the late Ruth R. Kishbaugh (nee Richards), passed away after a long illness. He is survived by his sons, Eric (Pam) and Nevin (Ann), and his two granddaughters, Adelyn and Jacqueline, and grandson John.

Born the youngest of 4 children on April 15, 1926 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Meyers High School in 1944. Upon graduation, Mr. Kishbaugh immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he qualified for enrollment in the Naval Air Cadet Training Academy. When World War II ended, Mr. Kishbaugh remained in the Naval Reserves and served as a Lieutenant aboard an LST stationed in Japan during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade.

He attended Bloomsburg State College, but graduated from Penn State University. While in college at Bloomsburg, Mr. Kishbaugh was named to the Pennsylvania All- State football team. He later studied at Columbia University in the Masters in Business program.

Mr. Kishbaugh was a successful real estate appraiser and developer in the southern New Jersey area for more than 40 years. He also taught real estate at Rutgers University, was a 32nd degree mason, a longtime member of the Haddonfield Methodist Church, and was on the Board of Directors at Glendale National Bank of New Jersey.

Jack Kishbaugh will be remembered for his integrity, honesty, and generosity- and a terrific wit and sense of humor. He always liked a really good pun- but truly loved a bad one.

Mr. Kishbaugh’s family will receive friends Thurs. Oct. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave. All are invited to Jack’s Service on Fri. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Kishbaugh’s name to the Smile Train, PO Box 96231 Washington, D.C. 20090–6231 (www.smiletrain.org). Arrangements by Kain-Murphy Funeral Home, 15 West End Ave. Haddonfield NJ, 08033
