The Mt. Laurel Library is offering “a big thank you” to the Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library during National Friends of Libraries Week.

This year’s week runs from Oct. 15 through Oct. 21, and marks the 12th annual event.

According to United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association, the group is coordinating this year’s event and supports citizens who govern, promote, advocate and fundraise for libraries.

According to United for Libraries, the celebration offers a multi-fold opportunity to celebrate Friends groups by using time to creatively promote a group in one’s community, to raise awareness and to promote membership.
