WTHS-Stockton University partner for students enrolled in Tomorrow’s Teachers course

“Tomorrow’s Teachers” now will have an opportunity to earn college credits for the successful completion of the course

Washington Township High School students who are enrolled in the course “Tomorrow’s Teachers” will now have an opportunity to earn college credits for the successful completion of the course with a grade of C or better, Director of School Counseling Jennifer Grimaldi has announced.

In a new agreement with Stockton University, students can elect to earn optional college credit by being dual-enrolled in a counterpart course at Stockton called GSS-2342: Pathways to Learning. The opportunity allows WTHS students to earn four credits at Stockton for a special price of $400. The course credits will be applied toward graduation requirements for those students who elect to enroll at Stockton. Depending on the policies of other universities, the credits may transfer.

Tomorrow’s Teachers is a course designed for students to learn more about teaching, “the profession that makes all other professions possible.”

“It is so advantageous for our students to have the opportunity to earn college credit at a discounted rate,” Grimaldi said. “These partnerships are invaluable as we prepare students for college readiness and careers.”
