Route 77 paving to begin Monday, Sept. 25

The work is be conducted from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday

NJ DOT Route 77 road improvements, to include milling and paving, will be taking place starting on Monday, Sept. 25, and throughout the following two weeks.

According to the township, the roadwork will complete the last portion of South Main Street up to Old Town Hall.

Roadwork will be conducted Monday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., with the first week focused on milling the roadways, finished by paving in the second week.

Detours and limits to local traffic, residents, businesses and services only are expected throughout the construction area. Detour signage will be visible with contractors and police assistance.

The detour on both the North or South will be based on alternating traffic detours. For example, on Mondays and Tuesdays, work will be performed from South to North. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, work will be performed from North to South.

All fire, rescue, police and EMS will have access at all times.
