High School Sports Roundup: Cinnaminson girls soccer extends winning streak

In other games, Cinnaminson field hockey remained undefeated with a pair of wins earlier this week.

The Cinnaminson girls soccer team extended their winning run to three games after a 4–1 triumph over Northern Burlington on Sept. 18.

Hailey Gutowski led the Lady Pirates with two goals, while Emma Karch also tallied a goal. Goalkeeper Maddie Ogden made six saves in the win.

Cinnaminson created 20 shots on goal,being kept out 16 times by Northern’s Jenna Vigorito. The Lady Pirates are next in action on Sept. 22 vs. Burlington Township at 3:45 p.m.

Boys Soccer see winning streak snapped at three games

After an opening game loss in Ocean City, the Cinnaminson Pirates boys soccer team rolled off three wins in a row. During that span, Cinnaminson kept three clean sheets over Pemberton, Pennsauken, and Moorestown respectively.

However, that winning streak was snapped on Sept. 18 in a 1–0 loss at Northern Burlington. A first-half goal from Sam Adenyi was all the hosts needed to earn the win.

Cinnaminson goalkeeper Kevin Conville made six saves in the defeat. The Pirates are back in action on Sept. 22 at Burlington Township at 3:30 p.m.

Field Hockey remains undefeated, with record sitting at 6–0

The Cinnaminson Field Hockey team continued their strong start to the season, with two victories earlier this week.

The Lady Pirates squeaked by Northern Burlington 1–0 on Sept. 18, before easing past Maple Shade 5–0 a day later.

Carly Barnes scored the game-winning goal on Monday, while Serafina Kennedy was credited with the assist. On Tuesday, Maura Tumelty led Cinnaminson with a hat-trick while Kennedy and Emily Rooney each added goals.

The Lady Pirates are back in action on Sept. 22 at home against Pemberton, with the match kicking off at 3:45 p.m.
