Photo Workshop at Palmyra Community Center

This two part workshop kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 24 and concludes on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Are you an avid photographer looking to learn some new tips? Are you justv starting out with your camera? Join Adrian R. Rowan on this casual walk around Palmyra while learning how to take better photographs. Rowan has been a professional photographer for over 13 years, working at various studios, including the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

You’ll learn the basics of composition, exposure, depth of field, and lighting. Grab your camera, walking shoes, and come out and meet some fellow residents, who are also camera enthusiasts, while improving your skills with a camera.

A DSLR Camera, laptop and access to Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw is required ($10 per month student subscription from Adobe). The editing class will focus primarily on editing in Adobe Photoshop.

There will be an in-class constructive criticism session, to improve your eye for what works and to help you improve your photography work.

This is a two-part workshop which takes place on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration is required, and you do not have to sign up for both classes. Costs are $30 for one class for Palmyra residents, and $35 for non-residents. The cost for both classes are $50 for residents and $55 for non-residents.
