The Haddonfield Center for the Performing Arts will offer six concerts from October 2017 to May 2018.
The Haddonfield Center for the Performing Arts and artistic director Maximillian Esmus have announced the 2017–2018 concert series at Grace Church in Haddonfield. The 2017–18 season continues the Center’s tradition of presenting regional guest artists of the highest quality in unique settings at affordable prices. The programs offers presentations of world music, traditional bluegrass, jazz, classical and more.
The season kicks off with “Jazz at Grace,” featuring the Denis DiBlasio Quintet, on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Grace Performance Hall. The Performance Hall transforms into a jazz club for an evening of complimentary light refreshments alongside a heaping serving of innovative jazz and favorite standards from DiBlasio, a baritone saxophonist, flautist, music educator, composer and head of jazz and composition programs at Rowan University. The ensemble is rounded out by Jim McFalls on trombone, Brian Betz on guitar, Chris Simonini on organ and Dan Monaghan on drums.
The remainder of the season offers events that will be of interest to music lovers. On Dec. 2 at 7 p.m., the Center welcomes Stone Mountain Road, based just down the road in Haddon Heights. Bandleader Jimmy Heffernan, a master of the Dobro resonator guitar, and Stone Mountain Road offer traditional Bluegrass with a modern flair. Band members include regular performers on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville as well as musicians for top artists in Bluegrass and Country music.
On Jan. 20 at 7 p.m, singer-songwriters from the South Jersey and Philadelphia area will come together under one roof for a Coffeehouse Showcase at Grace Performance Hall.
South Philadelphia crooner Joseph Marino and his trio return with “Their Just Desserts: Songs of Love and Madness” on Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. for a special fundraiser for the Center’s non-profit programs. On April 14 at 7 p.m., the instrumentalists of La Fiocco will transport listeners to a different time and place with a concert of 17th century music on period instruments, and the season wraps up with stories and songs from around the world by Duo 1717 on May 19 at 7 p.m. Baritone Jean Bernard Cerin and pianist Veena K. Kulkarni fuse classical and world music with storytelling into a transformative concert experience.

Online orders receive a 10 percent discount when patrons order tickets to 2 or more different shows in one transaction. The discount increases to 15 percent on 4 or more different shows ordered online.
The Haddonfield Center and School for the Performing Arts is located at Grace Episcopal Church in downtown Haddonfield on Kings Highway, next to the Haddonfield PATCO train station. Parking for HCSPA is available along Kings Highway in the Tanner Street municipal lot located behind Grace Church, and in the PATCO station lot.
