Cherry Hill contractors recognized at Clean Energy Conference

Allied Construction LLC and Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating & Cooling both receive ENERGY STAR 2017 Century Club Awards

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and its Clean Energy Program recently held the 2017 Clean Energy Conference and Awards Ceremony in partnership with the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Clean Energy Learning Center. At the ceremony, two Cherry Hill-based contractors were recognized for receiving the ENERGY STAR 2017 Century Club Award.

The ENERGY STAR 2017 Century Club Award recognizes contractors who have completed 100 or more comprehensive home performance projects in one year. Cherry Hill’s Allied Construction LLC and Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating & Cooling were both honored.

Over the last 15 years, New Jersey has invested more than $3.1 billion in approximately 1.5 million energy saving projects that have reduced electric use by approximately 10 percent — enough energy savings compounded over 15 years to power about 3.1 million homes.

Since 2003, NJCEP has promoted the increased use of efficiency energy products and clean and renewable energy sources. The results for New Jersey are a stronger economy, less pollution, lower energy costs, and reduced demand for energy. NJCEP offers financial incentives, programs, and services for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and governmental customers to implement energy efficiency and clean and renewable energy sources in their homes and businesses.

NJCEP is recognizing the accomplishments by program participants and trade allies that have helped customers save money on their utility bills reduce their energy demand and their environmental impacts. Awards were based on projects completed in Fiscal Year 2017 utilizing new Jersey’s Clean Energy Program and that maximized energy savings by using a comprehensive, “whole building” approach including.
