Evesham Police thankful for community support for Second Annual Fallen Heroes Softball Tournament

This event raised money for the survivors of police and firemen who suffer untimely deaths as a result of their service.

The Evesham Police Department is thanking the community for its support during the Second Annual Fallen Heroes Softball Tournament on Aug. 27.

This event raised money for the survivors of police and firemen who suffer untimely deaths as a result of their service.

Police say the tournament also honored local fallen heroes and their families.

According to police, this year fourteen community based teams played in this tournament.

Thanks are offered to all who played or contributed, specifically the Evesham Fire Department, Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, Evesham Township Employees, Marlton Recreation Council, Marlton Business Association, Viruta Hospital, Burn’s Auto Dealership, Evesham Mortgage, Oak Mortgage, Remax Connection and Mayor Randy Brown.

The following tournament awards were presented:
First Place — Remax Connection
Second Place — Evesham Police Department
The Lieutenant Matt Hempel MVP Award — Brian Brown from Remax Connection
The Trooper Bert Zimmerman Home Run Award — Chief Darren Anderson from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office
The Sergeant Edward Zubrzycki Team Spirit Award — Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office
The Officer Max Scherzer Young Heroes Memorial Softball game winner — Evesham Police Explorers, Post No. 22
The Chandler Bean MVP Award — Police Explorer Andre Flamina
The Chandler Bean MVP Award — Fire Explorer Stephen Ewan
